Hair Down There – Part 4

The Final Part of the Series

FOR WOMEN ONLY. (You’ve been warned.)

Finally, we are coming to the end of the series. I am getting a little tired of writing about female pubic hair (although if you look at our numbers, people are not getting tired of reading about it, but my guess is that it’s in secret, which is fine with us).

In case you missed it, the first three parts are:

Part 1:  The four paths women take.

Part 2:  Hair removal methods.

Part 3: Maintenance and upkeep.

Today, we finish with …

The Plan

One Anonymous8 member suggests that women consider looking at keeping their hair down there in context of a lifelong outlook and plan. That may sound a little over-the-top or crazy, but here’s the logic. Figure out who you are. If you are a hyper-concerned person about your looks, that will affect which path you take. For example, there are those who care about greys below (and will dye to keep them away) and those who don’t.  If you do, take that into consideration in terms of any long term permanent hair removal solutions. So, let’s say you laser your way to a landing strip (my, we have a whole new vocabulary, don’t we), but you are grey-phobic.  You’re still going to have to dye. What a pain! You thought you had achieved some finality, and then you hit 40.

Or, consider the following.  You decide to go with it all off permanently. Then you get married and have a daughter.  Just be prepared to explain to her, when she hits puberty, why she is beginning to look different than mom. The sight of her own hair down there will be, frankly, alarming to her.

Those are just some of the things to take into consideration.

Or, you can be like most of us who kind of learn as we go along and take it, one step, one treatment, one process at a time, changing things up as we change and mature as women.

And on a final note… the Merkin

At a girls dinner out one night, a woman explained that while most of us are interested in taking hair off, there are those, specifically cancer patients in chemotherapy, who are interested in putting it back on. “Oh, yeah, that’s what a merkin’s for. It’s a pubic hair wig.”  We were all a little astonished. A pubic hair wig?

Apparently, merkins have been around for centuries, mostly for use by women for a variety of reasons ranging from hiding venereal diseases to having more hair in societies where that was valued to chemo patients today. I did some research about them on google, and mostly, there were more questions about them than true answers.  If you have a good resource about them or can tell us some more, please let us know.

The point of the story is that we all want different things, each for our own unique and individual reasons.

Thanks for all of your feedback during this, the first of the series on Anonymous8.

This is for a laugh for your readers…I am a returning college student (at the age of 48) and this last semester my class was “Modern British Literature.”

We watched a movie called “The Shooting Party” and in it there is a comment about the author of a book one of the characters in the movie is reading. The comment is, “Oh yes, art and life…”

Our teacher explained the reference: the author of the book in question (true story) was fascinated with the female body. He had studied the paintings and sculptures of the Master’s and had “waxed eloquent” about the female form.

However, he became instantly and forever impotent on his wedding night when he found (to his horror) that women had pubic hair!

I just sort of took a razor to it one day and haven’t looked back. It’s all sort of funny. I’ve never liked having much hair down there, even before I knew that anyone shaved. I usually use a dry, electric razor because I have really sensitive skin.

Full disclosure, I sell the bodybare razor to make extra money as I go back to school. But even if you don’t buy one from me, (Which would be super awesome by the way.) consider getting one.
