Hair Down There – Part 3

Maintenance and Upkeep

For Women Only. Men, here we go again.  We have warned you twice NOT to read this series.  Time to click somewhere else.  You read at your own risk.

Part 1:  The four paths women take.

Part 2:  Hair removal methods.

Part 3: Today we address long term upkeep and maintenance.

Two Forms Of Upkeep

Once hair removal is done, there are two main methods of long term maintenance.

1.  Trimming.  This can be done, as far as we know, by trimmers (as in beard trimmers) and by scissors.

There are electric trimmers specifically made for this area, but the women I have consulted prefer standard beard trimmers. This makes length even, but be careful.

Vanilla Snark, a frequent guest poster, prefers good ‘ole scissors.  She explained that she prefers trimming  (in the comment section of the first post in this series) for a variety of reasons. Her tool of choice? ”Those slightly curved nail scissors are handy, as they have short blades, and automatically follow a curve.”

2. The second long term maintenance project for some is dyeing.  Yes, you read that right.  Who knew? There is dye specifically for hair down there. Those who try it?  The adventurous sort who want to try something splashy or those who want to hide their greys.  The only brand we know is called Betty – Color for Hair Down There, and it comes in multiple colors.  Be warned – some of the shocking colors apparently are shocking.  However, we have heard that it does, indeed, color those greys.

Any other suggestions for upkeep and maintenance that we may have missed?  Any experience with either method listed above that would be helpful for all of us to know?  We’ve gotten some GREAT tips from comments on the other posts.

Next week, we cover one more aspect of Hair Down There…

I don’t think a lot of us even knew about it. I think you are either a try it or I’ll never do that kind of person… Don’t you think?

i scissor. but dying – oh my! the thought of harsh chemicals near/on the girly bits sounds well harsh.

    Pattypunker,
Yea, I thought the same thing too, but apparently they deal with the harsh chemical thing, at least from what I’ve heard. More on that this Friday… (the last part of the series)
    Thanks,
    Sarah

Great series! In my last comment, I forgot to say “Happy Saturday Sharefest” from a fellow SITsta. Vajazzling entails the placement of rhinestones down there…..in a multitude of designs such as a “landing strip.”
