What are the best things a husband and a wife can say to each other?
(Yes, this is all about mileage in your relationship. Guys, we are trying to help you out here.)
Now, why we did we come up with this question?
I was hanging out at a friend’s house and her husband walks into the kitchen with daughter in tow. He says, holding a bottle of chlorox bathroom cleaner, “I just couldn’t take it any more, so I hope that you don’t mind that I cleaned the bathrooms.”
My jaw drops. Why? Because I could not imagine a sexier thing he could have said to his wife than “I cleaned the bathrooms.” And then it dropped again. At what point in life have I gotten to if I think “I cleaned the bathrooms” is as sexy as “I love you” or “You’re beautiful?” Really, is that pathetic or what? Or maybe it’s enlightened? Who knows?
(Note to men. After giving this some thought, the reason this is so great, at least in my case, is that it shows both thoughtfulness and that he is taking care of me. Really, he is lessening my load when I already feel overloaded. That’s why this comment and action resonated so much with me.)
Later, I tell my girlfriend my reaction and tell her, “you’d better take care of your husband tonight.” Wink, wink. And continuing the conversation, I ask her what is the sexiest, best thing that her husband has said to her. Next I ask the other Anonymous8 and beyond the same question.

The sexiest thing my hubby says to me is “I cooked dinner tonight.” A huge load is lifted from my shoulders and I can’t help but love him more than ever.
The best thing my significant other has said to me came after I asked him to stop making fun of me (we have banter-filled conversations daily). He replied, “As soon as it stops being the most fun I’ve ever had.”
This was the sexiest, best thing he could have said to me because it reminded me how much fun I am and how much he enjoys me for being ME.

“I just couldn’t take it any more….” I read it as a insult, implies you’re filthy!
I would just say “I’ve cleaned the bathrooms.” Why the pretext?

I can see how you could read it as an insult, but it did not come out that way. It was just matter of fact. Nothing mean implied. That’s what I loved about it.
